Default toyota tacoma tranny fluid?
what kind of transmission fluid do I need for a 2008 tacoma? it is an automatic. I have looked in the owner's manual and even online but nothing. Thanks

its called a C U M 487 its what they use for formula F1 transmissions. its really good

Very likely it takes Toyota WS fluid. Note that Toyota isn't alone in requiring special fluids. Chryslers have required a special fluid ATF+2, 3, and 4 (material spec 7176 and 9602) since about 1988 when they introduced the A604/41TE fully electronic transaxle.
