It sounds like you are looking at top plate spacer lifts. If you want to offroad your Tacoma, stay away from spacer lifts! They stiffen your ride, cut down on how much your shock can compress, and can put stress on cv joints and such. Look at suspension lifts like coil lifts and a set of good shocks.

I run the first listed and love it. The second one allows you to replace only your stock shocks without having to get new coils. You can set it up to 2.5 inches of lift.
