Should I buy this car..?

My boy is selling me a 93 Supra for 1000. Not sure if it's N/A or Twin Turbo'd but I figure is a good deal since it's a well running supra. Only thing is that it's ugly, few dents, ugly interior AND I don't have a full time job.

I have 1100 saved up, I make 120 bucks a month LOL No bills, or nothing to pay and I need a car for school and to take my gf out and stuff. Should I take it? I won't drive it much maybe 10mi tops per week, and obviously I would be driving with no insurance unless my father pays for it.

What about maintenance cost?

Haha ehh how discouraging.. I thought supras are worth alot as well so maybe i can sell it?

You only make $1500 a year. That's just barely going to cover 1 tank of gas per month. If you do oil yourself you can get that down to $15-ish every 3 months, which you don't have the money for unless you find another income. If you have any mechanical problems then the car's nothing but a lawn ornament because you don't have any money to fix it. If you get pulled over you'll get a heavy ticket for not being insured which you can't afford. Get in an accident you're probably going to be carless and broke and if you cause an accident you're completely sunk for a really long time while you pay off the damage to the other vehicle out of pocket.

Terrible idea.

I would def find a job first. Also, I would also check the vehicle history before you buy it. CARFAX is a ripoff. I always use CHEAPVINSEARCH.COM. Not to many people know about this site because it is relatively new but it only costs 9.99 and its the exact same information. If your going to spend a couple thousand on a car I think spending an extra 9.99 is definetely worth it.
