how do you program your new cars if you have lost both keys?

Default how do you program your new cars if you have lost both keys?
i bought a new lock set but how do i program the keys. i lost both keys.

Contact the manufacturer or go get a locksmith to possible have a master key for that lock.Good luck

Because this is in the Toyota forum I presume your car is a Toyota and if the keys have to be programmed it must be fairly recent.































By all means check with an automotive locksmith, but I know with the 2002 Prius we have if all master (not valet) keys are lost the security module has to be replaced. At $600, I hope tht is not your situation.

You may have to remove the computer in your vehicle and send it in to amazingkeys.com if you don't have any working keys and have them reset the unit and the keys.































This can cost over $1000 at the Toyota dealer.
