2000 corolla trunk wont open.?

Default 2000 corolla trunk wont open.?
the trunk to my 2000 corolla won't open. When i flip the switch there is no pressure. I cant go in though the back seats because my owners manual says the release switch for the back seat are in the trunk. Does anyone have any advice?

I would assume it is a fuse that went out. Google your car model and year to find out if your fuse box is in under the hood or inside under your steering wheel or another location in your vehicle.

Something must be haywire with the actuator cable. In those circumstances the best approach is to access the cable housing somewhere between the release lever and the trunk (under the carpet near the driver's left foot is a good place to look) and to pull forward on it. Usually that ends up releasing the latch.

Can't you simply put the key in the lock that's in the trunklid??































If your key doesn't work then you've either stolen the car and have no keys... or you're using the Valet key.































Cable has come off on either end of the cable or lever is broken...































but really... open it with the key!
