Default 2001 toyota corolla po420?
I have a 2001 toyota corolla with 167000 miles on it. it's flashing a po420 code. i was told i had to buy a catalytic converter. are there any shortcuts to this?

Nope.. the 420 code basically says your 02 sensor behind the cat is sayign that the cat is not doing its job... which is usually the case.















You can check for aftermarket cats... or maybe a used one,....































Stick with the new Toyota parts, it'll be pricey, but you can get anotehr 300,000km or more out of the car.































Their diagnosis is correct.
