Default toyota tacoma 4 wheel drive problems?
hey i have a 2002 toyota tacoma v6 TRD and its got 180,000 miles on it and a bunch of aftermarket upgrades but the 4 wheel drive stoped working and i dont know why so if anyone could help id really apreciate it. when i try to put it into 4 high or 4 low it feels like it wants to engage and in 4 low its definatly in a low gear but its still in 2wd and the light that comes on when its in 4 dosnt come up anymore. if you can help me out that would be great and if its alot to type out or u have links to send my email is j.blevins28@yahoo.com

Without knowing what you've done. It's impossible to tell.































The Transfercase could have taken a crap.































Also checking Recalls is useless. Even if there was some kind of Recall, it's doubtful they would have to honor if you have exceeded their specs with aftermarket parts.

Sounds like a problem with your automatic locking hubs to me..

I have a 2000 trd tacoma and I have the same problems with my 4 wheel drive have you found a fix?
