I dunno, I think the new Corolla with teh 2.4 liter motor would give it a GOOD run for its money.















Race them and let me know what happens..















I'd bet 5 bucks on the Corolla S

Depends. If you have a Corolla XRS, you might have a chance against the Jetta. A 1.8t Jetta is turbocharged but the Corolla XRS has a much larger displacement (2.4 liters). The Corolla S and the other Corollas would get smoked by the Jetta. BTW, to the answer talking about the Corolla S, the Corolla S is a poser car. It's basically an LE with a body kit and sporty looking interior. It's all show and no go. If you want fast, the XRS is the way to go.

It looks like the Jetta is a faster car but I just hate those things - a friend of mine had one some years ago that gave him nothing but trouble.
