What type of fuel does a 2006 Toyota "Corolla S" take?

Default What type of fuel does a 2006 Toyota "Corolla S" take?
I just bought used vehicle last week, specifically for the gas mileage. However I am not getting out of it the mileage that I need. I checked the tire pressure and the rear right side was flat, I replaced the tire, and I filled the rest to the recommend pressure from the numbers given inside the door panel. The gas mileage still has not improved drastically. Could it be the type of fuel I am using? The car came with no drivers manual so I've putting "regular gas" in the tank. I went to a dealership for a manual but they made me order one and I want to know now! Can anyone help me out?















This vehicle is supposed to get 30 miles city/40 Hwy. Currently, its been about 20 city/20Hwy.

Regular unleaded Gasoline.































It has nothing to do with the fuel. You should take it in and have it looked at. It sounds like something more serious.

All Toyota Corolla takes 87 octane rating. the cheap gas.































how do you drive, do you floor your vehicle at every light, slow down and stick to speed limit.































what about maintenance?































spark plugs,















fuel injectors cleaned,















air filter cleaned,















air induction cleaned,















transmission fluid (having enough fluid softens gear change meaning your car won't shift hard and won't use up too much fuel),















oil change















PCV valve















Oxygen Sensors































































what about weight? do you have unnecessary weight in your car?
