Default 1993 camry 3vzfe, lower control arm bushings?
Hi, in my 1993 camry 3vzfe I changed the lower control arm bushings (L and R), but just after couple miles they broke apart, I've done it twice in the last 15k miles. I just bought the whole control arm with bushings but before I change them I would like to find out if anybody knows why this could be happening, do not want to loose the new ones right away.















Any of you belive that bad engine mounts could add to the problem? Just thinking where else to look for.

Well - a thought - rubber tends to dry out and age whether it is being used or not. this parts stock might be 10 years old. the rubber bushings could just be "rotten". if nothing else is wrong with the car the bushings shouldn't go out like that. Take them back to dealer for parts warranty. Make sure your brake discs are true and you dont have brake pulsation - or that might take them out.

They're a very common item to wear on your particular car... you're not the only one going through them.















Depends what sort of roads you drive on, the other answer about old parts I really doubt, as older camry's like yours go through a lot of these... not givng them a chance to collect dust.















Just like most gm mid size cars, they simply chew these things up.















I haven't seen an aftermarket option that's better either (they're WORSE)































But I would drag out that receipt if you have it and see if Toyota will warranty them.
