Check this model and year for defects and recalls, which plague many Toyota vehicles, before you buy. After all, safety is paramount, and Toyota has just recently had to recall over a million more vehicles for serious defects involving stalling, loss of steering, and leaky/exploding gas tanks.
For this specific car, the mileage is high and the asking price way too much. Due to the defects/recalls accidents/lawsuits, etc., Toyota vehicles in North America have lost from 12% to 20 % of their resale value the last few months.
