2000 toyota celica gts manual transmission would not start no crank!!!!?

i have a 2000 toyota celica gts...manual transmission.....and today while driving it kept on losing power. the radio and lights would go off and on very quickly. i was low on gas so i gave it some fuel.when i attempted to turn the car back on i got nothing. The car would not crank at all. There is absolute silence when i turn the key, you could hear the birds chirping(that's how silent it is) The lights and radio come on fine so i am thinking that the battery is good but there is nothing else happening. i even had the battery replaced just to rule it out and still nothing. i tested my fuses and they are all fine. i do not know how to test relays though. What could the problem be??...can someone who is a professional please help...could it be my starter,alternator,clutch switch,relay...disconnected wire?

It might be your clutch problems, however, I think you should really get your car for a professional check up as you want to tackle the problem properly!

there is a switch under your clutch pedal that has to be pressed in by the clutch pedal in order to start the car. check this. if not check your starter. check your ground wires and any wires that may have come lose.

It sound like a starter. You can try tapping on the starter with a metal object and see if it start.

or you can try push start the car.. If it start, then it's your starter problem..
