yaris is struggling to start?

Default yaris is struggling to start?
Can anyone help? A couple of weeks ago I was very low on petrol and I noticed as I was starting my 2005 yaris up it seemed to be struggling a bit. For example whenever I start it I have to put my foot on the gas and pump it for it to start when it used to start first turn. I thought initially it was because I was low on petrol but have since filled up twice and used redex in case I had got any dust into the engine from running low on fuel and it is no better. A strange symptom is that when the car has rested , overnight for example, it starts ok but then when I stop and restart again after my journey it struggles again...















Have looked it up and got ideas of cam sensor, battery or fuel filter. Toyota are going to charge £60 to run a diagnostics and I'm trying to avoid this if I can. The cam sensor seems more likely than the battery as lights etc are all fine. I don't really know though. Just trying to avoid a big bill and wondering if anyone has come across same thing before. The fuel filter is a good place to start - inexpensive and fits the description of being better after sitting overnight (debris has had a chance to settle). It also makes sense from the standpoint of coming in after running very low on fuel, which can cause strange debris to get sucked up by the pump.

5year old battery? That is the fist thing i would suspect with a starting issue.
