Prius gas mileage question?
My Prius gas gauge beeped and begin blinking Friday to indicate I needed to add fuel. Being extremely broke, I added about 3 gallons of gas, but the light continues to blink. When I turn the car on, an "Add Fuel" message comes on the screen. I get at least 38 mpg in city traffic, so I figured I could get at least 100 miles before running out of gas, but it's almost as if the gas I added didn't register.
I thought this is odd and wonder, am I going to run out of gas today or tomorrow? I only drive a couple miles each way to work. I have $8 in my bank account until I get paid Wednesday, and I don't use credit cards. (I'm trying to live on a strict budget.)
Oh, heh heh (blush) . . . guess I obviously haven't spent enough time reading the owner's manual.
