why does my 2008 Camry LE vibrate during a stop?

Well, Noel, I feel it when I hold my steering wheel. When I drive, it doesn't shake at all. Someone told me it can be the timing chain.

And warranty is out.

( no factory warranty, but I just purchased it so it has 3 month or 3,000 miles warranty on it. )

Could be a few things. No check engine light? If the check engine light is on, you may have an engien that is misfiring, and not running correct.

Otherwise, it could be a problem with an engine mount, exhaust hitting the car, or something weird like that.

I'd put the car up on the hoist to check for damage, like if you've driven over something that's done damage.

where do you feel the vibration? Maybe get out of the car (with it safely in Park), and have a listen around the car to see where its coming from.

Better yet... your car is just over two years old. WARRANTY! - bring it into the dealer.

It is not the timing chain.

if you only feel it when braking, it's almost certainly a warped rotor or rotors (disc brakes), and would not likely be covered by warranty anyway.

Bad rotors 100% sure do not look any further then that.
