Default 2001 Toyota Solara Timing belt?
Does anyone know when the timing belt on a 2001 Toyota Solara timing belt needs to be changed?















at how many miles?

Beginning 1998 Toyota started using chains again instead of belts. Those chains are so tough you might never need to change it over the life of the car.

don r ...is wrong. My 1999 Toyota Solara needed a timing belt and I replaced it at the toyota dealer...as well as the water pump at the same time. It should be done every 100,000 miles or 10 years--which ever comes first--per my toyota dealer. the cost was $1400.00 for both.
