I drive a 1997 Toyota Camry LE with close to 180,000 miles on it. I believe the engine is a 2.2 4-cyl. I began driving it two years ago, and I have not experienced any problems with it thus far.
I need to make a commute back home once or twice a month. The total distance from my home to my school is 180 miles, and the drive is around 3 hours 15 minutes (one way).
Nope, its Toyota, I mean my brother had a 1995 Toyota, went from new york to Atlanta and he spent three days repairing it during the trip, car only had 80K miles on it, he won't make THAT mistake again, that is for SURE.
As long as you do your regular oil change intervals of 5,000 miles, check your belts and hoses, and your radiator doesn't leak and your coolant is properly filled. You are good to go.
If you don't suffer any of the symptoms of the serious steering, braking, acceleration, and/or drive shaft, etc. defects plaguing virtually all Toyota / Lexus vehicles. you'll make it there, hopefully in one piece.
if you maintaine the car,it will last many more miles,my wifes camry has 500 561 miles and still going with the original motor,,,you show me anyother car make that dose this
