Husband was recently laid-off from his job repairing mail sorting equipment, he has an opportunity to go to college to become an auto mechanic with a Toyota T-Ten program. When he is finished, he will be taking a pay cut to start off working at a dealership from what we understand. Looking to hear from graduates from the program or anybody from the industry. Thank you.
Given the ongoing massive problems facing Toyota with quality, recalls, loss of consumer/customer confidence, greatly lowered resale value and the huge class-action lawsuits, Toyota may not be a good choice long-term for a new career.
Plus if he gets a degree in Auto Repair there will be crossover opportunities if he were to ever lose his job again.
Because Toyota is such a great brand with huge customer satisfaction and loyalty. If he chooses to stay on at a Toyota Dealer he can look forward to being able to retire there. If he's a good mechanic that is.
Spend the money on your own auto repair business.Get a tire changer and balancer and help regular people not hybrid snobs. As a wife you probably want your husband to work for a brand name and wear a uniform and go to the Christmas party.Does your husband get to decide how a wife should dress?
