Largest ring and pinion size for a stock stock Toyota Tundra?
I'm doing some research on which full size truck would be better to lift and put oversized tires on. I own a lifted Ram and have lots of problems with it although it's just a 4" lift 35" tires and 4.10 gears front and back. I don't hear to much about Tundra's messing up. In fact every time I ride by a toyota dealership they sell lifted Tundra's. I know the Tundra limited has a 4.30 rear gear ratio and wondering what is the largest you can put in the stock axle. I know dodge, ford and chevy is 4.56 gearing max.
Yeah, I did order 4.56's for my truck but my took a friends advice and got the 4.10's. Wished I got the 4.56's. But 4.10's with 35" is a lot better than the stock 3.55 I had in there
But also the ford raptor has 4.10s with 35" tires. It also kinda deals with your transmission gearing. Thats why GM is big on like 3.42 gear even on the heavy duties trucks
