My TP light has been coming on about once a month for the past 4 months. I go to have air put back in all tires but I'm always told there's nothing wrong with my tires or the pressure. The light is reset and stays off for about 1 month until it randomly turns back on when I either start my car or I'm driving.
I just read this:
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_does_T...re_sensor_work and part of the answer is "It uses the wheel speed sensor (part of the ABS)".
Now, the part that stuck out like a sore thumb is "part of the ABS". I have had issues with my ABS system which started last year and had me back and forth to Toyota Service a total of 5-6 times before they decided to just replace my whole ABS system. They did this Jan 2010.
Could this tire pressure light be a result of the ABS issue my car, Onyx, has had? Again, when the TP light comes on, I take Onyx to Toyota or Dobbs and they always say his tires are in good shape and air pressure is normal and they reset the light. Tires were last rotated about 4-5 months ago and are the original tires.
