One leak that won't be so easy to see is when the water pump leaks. On this car changing a water pump is not easy. Have it checked.A water pump will wear out and leak after about 100,000 miles. Look over all the hoses, make sure you don't smell antifreeze inside the car- that would be a leaky heater core. atch the tailpipe. When the engine is hot there shouldn't be water coming out the tailpipe. If there's lots of steam exhausting, you need to put the car in the shop for some serious work. If your coolant was half gone and you were driving the car, the temperature gauge would be up high. Be very careful to not overheat this engine. Find and fix the leak. Do not put "Barr's Leaks" in this engine. That stuff might work temporarily, but in the long run it'll just clog up the water passages in the radiator and engine block and the engine won't be able to cool off. Good luck.
