Default Does the Toyota Tacoma stay locked in 4WD?
I've drove a RAV4 but as soon as you hit 25 it would kick out of the 4W/AWD mode. Does the Tacoma stay locked in 4WD?

I dont think its real time AWD, like subarus are. I beleive its just a locking hub and you may be restricted to a certain speed limit. To disengage it, usually you select back to 2WD and drive in reverse for like 3ft and it disengages. My 2001 nissan xterra 4x4 was like this. Good luck!

What RAV4 did you drive?































Did you have it in 4 Low? Because all modern Trucks and SUV's will kick out out of 4 Low above 25 MPH.































They will all stay in 4WD for as fast as you want as long as it's 4 High.
