I'm buying a first car, and i'm very interested in a 99 toyota solara for 2500, the downside is















that it has 106k miles..































Are there common problems with that year/mileage of the car that I should be weary of?















Would any of you recommend it as a first car?















And finally, would any of you disagree that it's not worth the price

Be leery of no maint records, shakey title































Duno bout price, im guessing not bad.































Toyota deaker mite check it mechanically for bout $100.

Sounds like a reasonable price for a sensible vehicle. Toyotas tend to be very reliable, and inexpensive to maintain and own. The fuel economy of the solara tends to be fairly good as well.































The insurance costs on the Solara will most likely not be too expensive either.

Nope no real problems on those models. They are rock solid.































Absolutely. They are great first cars that are reliable and sporty to drive.































It's a steal at $2,500. 106K is nothing for that motor. It's capable of going 400K+.

personally unless the car is damaged I would almost suspect that this might be a scam of some sort so I would be skeptical.































In March I sold my 1995 Toyota Celica with 175,000 miles for $2,200.































If the car you are looking to buy is in good condition, I believe the blue book on it is around $5000-6000 since it has low mileage.































I would do some more research and try to dig into why it's listed so cheap.































You may think the price is high from the way you phrased the question.... but unless it's beaten up bad it'd actually about $2000 low.
