1998 Camry starter won't start?

Default 1998 Camry starter won't start?
My Camry won't start up. I was on a run and it completely stopped, i had my friend come and jump me.I checked the battery and it's fine and so is switch. So it's the starter, i got it checked out and they said that the starters flywheels aren't fitting with grooves. what could have caused this and what to do to fix this?

Probably just worn out starter gear teeth. Replace the starter and then trade the car for something American or European so you can have quality.

no, not starter problem. starter job is to start your car, that's it. once your car is up and running the starter sits there until you restart your car. as long as your car cranks, your starter + battery is good. and it wears by turn the key/cranking it while the engine is running'















basing on what you telling us, i say you have a bad alternator. not charging at times.















your car running then sudden die cuz alternator not giving juice. your friend jump your battery and in the process charged it up enough for you to make it home or the alternator decide to work again after that. did any battery warning light came on in your dash?
