1998 Camry starter won't start?

Default 1998 Camry starter won't start?
my Camry won't start up. I was on a run and it completely stopped, i had my friend come and jump me. it did work after the jump. now it won't turn on completely.I checked the battery and it's fine and so is switch. So it's the starter, i got it checked out and they said that the starters flywheels aren't fitting with grooves. what could have caused this and what to do to fix this, it could be this too. i've asked the auto zone people and they said that it could have something to do with this starter solenoid?

id say to take it either to the guy ho sold it to you or take it to a toyota store and let the experts handle it

Replace the starter or get a reco one.

ive seen this,is it that the starter turns but you get a funny noise and every now and then it will start,look if you say the battery is good and alt is charging then the starter has gear teeth that catch the flywheel teeth when ingaged,if the flywheel teeth are damaged its casued the starter gear to get damaged,,try chaging just the starter,it will help but it can still do it time to time but very rare,better than changing the flywheel,
