What mpg are you getting if you have a Toyota Corolla?

Default What mpg are you getting if you have a Toyota Corolla?
My daughter was getting close to 40 mpg, but I'm averaging 32.5 mpg. I know I do alot more in town driving than her, but I wondering what others are getting. It's a 2004 Corolla and I'm wondering if it got better mpg when it was new than now. Any comments?

The average for a toyota corolla is 29 mpg combined (cityéhighway driving). 32.5 mpg for city is really really good. A thing to consider is that the way you drive and the condition of a car can impact the mpg.

In city driving with AC on (in my area it hits 120 farenheit) I average 29 mpg. In highway driving, I average about 37 mpg. Your mpg is excellent because its rated at 26 city and 34 highway (30 combined).

Having in mind that this (28 mpg in city and 36 mpg at highway) would be an estimate of Corolla's gas mileage it seems that yours is above that spending range.















Gas mileage also depends on your driving style (if you keep your engine in right gears) and regular servicing (oil changes and types of oil are important for that fact).















Have in mind that there are special types of oil for engines that have crossed 150.000 miles or more that provide special protection of engine, and also oils which are designed to provide more economic fuel spending.
