You're being tested for driving skill and motor vehicle safe operation. The car only needs to be seviceable. They aren't going to grade you on the placement of the emergency brake, and don't think the examiner hasn't seen a Prius before. But, make sure you lights and horn all work. There are other cars that have the hand brake in other positions than in the middle. I think you plan to lose the whole game of life, calling yourself a huge loser and thinking 18 is so late as to mark a person some kind of failure. Hold your head up and do what you need to do. If you keep up the "loser" attitude, you won't get anywhere, but that's you in your own way. Look behind you; you've come a long way already, so take credit for that much. Pass the test, like you passed other tests.
