Default Can you turbo a 2007 Corolla S? Help on "throttle by wire"?
I'm not a "ricer", just having fun with a paid off car. Curious if the 1zz motor with electronic throttle has any issues with modifications? Don't need comments about how slow it will be, I know at most I will be pushing about 250whp even with the internal upgrades. Any actual toyota mechanics out there that can tell me a little more about the "throttle by wire" system? Can I have the ecu reflashed and still be emissions legal with a turbo or Na build? Cant seem to find many forums with people throwing more than bolt on parts on the 06-07 1zz models.

i dont know about a 2007 but i know a 2009 has a turbo you may upgrade it but its ussually pretty good and im sure a 2007 has one
