Why my car won't start when I park it in the sun? It's a 2004 Toyota Corolla?

Car won't start when I park it in the sun. When it's in the shade or garage it starts fine. It's just turns and turns but never starts.

I've checked the EFI relay, Fuel Pump relay, and verified that when I crank it fuel is being delivered.

...I'm open to any ideas and suggestions. The next then I want to try is changing out the MAF sensor. But any ideas that don't cost me $100 will be welcomed

I should probably add that it's a manual. So yes it's already in neutral when I start.

I also don't think it's the starter. It starts fine when in the shade. This only happens when i leave in the sun for an hour or more.

Could be your starter going out. You can remove it and take it to an auto parts store where many will check it for free to see if it is good or not. The sun thing is probably just a coincidence since you probably drive it around more than you park it in then shade.

try puting it in neutral and starting it in the sun see what happens you might need a park neutral safety switch

Does it make like a clicking sound after it sits in the sun and then you start it. Might be a bad battery, corrosion on the post, could be a number of things. Take it to a shop and have them look at it.
