Default toyota camry oxygen sensor cost?
how much should I expect to pay for oxygen sensor replacement on my car? Its a 98 camry v6. I really want to know, also, is it a hard job to do? Would I be able to do it at home? Please let me know! thanks!















Im pretty sure its the oxygen sensor thats either gone bad or going bad, all the symptoms seem to add up as I read. Its getting worse gas mileage, its hesitating more to go(have to step on it more) and its idling a little more rough. Im sure its the oxygen sensor and not the mass air flow sensor

they run around $100 and they are pretty simple to replace... however make sure it is the oxygen sensor and not the "mass airflow sensor" if you are into doing work yourslef i would recomend getting a maintenance manuel

Never buy one from autozone. Get a genuine Toyota 02 sensor at the dealer or a Denso 02 sensor.

and v6 should be easy. i'm thinking it's in front of the exhaust manifold when you open the hood. plenty of space.































spay some rust renatration/pb blaster /etc. to get it loose alittle.

An o2 sensor is not going to cause a hesitation or a rough idle. I am going to guess that is is more than likely a problem with the mass air flow meter(MAF) or the idle air control valve. I would recommend having a professional technician diagnosis the problem before wasting money on an unneeded part. Besides a failing o2 sensor is going to set a DTC and cause the check engine light to come on. A MAF that is dirty or failing may not cause the light to come on.
