94 Celica high RPM idle?

Default 94 Celica high RPM idle?
My 94 Celica GTS idles at about 1500-2000 sometimes but other times its normal at 700-800, last night it stalled on me in neutral and wouldnt start, anyone know of anything?

Sounds like a bad CTS (coolant temperature sensor) testing= 1. Monitor the coolant sensor voltage using a volt meter. The coolant sensor voltage should be .3-.5 volts when fully warmed up.































2. Disconnect the EGR valve and test drive the vehicle.

clean the intake,you should clean or replace the iac,,idil air control valve,,you can clean them but most small garages just change them at a higher price,go to the dealer,get the gaskets needed,then tell whoever to change or clean it,they will have problems getting the 4 screws off from the throttle body(the iac is attached to the throtle) so try to get new ones befor hand ,or look for a used throttle but not recomended as it can be in worst condition,,,if you happen to be in montreal area i can help
