Toyota Echo Brake Problem?

Default Toyota Echo Brake Problem?
Couple days ago, I had a car accident on freeway. I was driving a Year 2000 Toyota Echo and when I stepped on the brake, the car speeded up and therefore I hit on someone?s car. My car was total. When I checked the internet, I found that Toyota actually initiated a recall for this car model in the past, but I was not notified.















My question is, would there be any possibility I can get any compensation from Toyota if I file a lawsuit? Is it worth doing so? Did anybody do that before?

when did they have a recall on the echo,new to me,your insurance company will check the ecu of the car to see what happened be for you hit,if you did press the brakes and it speed up(witch makes no sense cause the brakes can not make th car go faster,unless you really press the gas,the car was around for 10 years and all of a sudden it just went on its own,how many miles?did you ever have the throttle cleaned?was the car worked on just be for this happened?
