I have a 2008 prius. At 36,200 mi. it developed a head lite problem. After my 2nd, unsucassful,
trip the? unproductive trip to the dealership, I developed a steering (much more resistance in turning). It is strange that I developed the steering problem shortly after visiting the dealership? Do other Prius owners have a greater number of problems in the first year after the warranty expired?

The power steering in the Prius is electric. They could have somehow disconnected it when they were working on the lights. If you live in an area where you have independent Prius mechanics, you might try one of them. Otherwise try another dealer or call the hotline at 331-4331 (you will need your VIN number).

Not normally--at least based on the Yahoo Prius group members and the owner satisfaction rating. Both my 2001 (80K miles) and 2004 (114K miles) haven't had any problems (even though I purchased the Toyota Financial extended warranty--just in case, it was under $1000).
never had issues with mine,if you have the hid lights i think there is tsb on them,have them look it up,as for your steering,well,i would have to see the car
