Slow acceleration on my 1998 Camry (automatic)?

Default Slow acceleration on my 1998 Camry (automatic)?
I just noticed today while on the highway that it was hard to accelerate. It seemed slow and weak. There was oil in the car. I just gotten my valve gasket cover replaced about 10 days ago. My 1998 Camry is due for a transmission flush. I'd very much appreciate any real feedback. Thanks in advance.

aweful car, probs missfiring on a cylinder thats what my x's kept doing. just replace the spark plugs if not could a a worse problem

It is not just one bad spark plug or the engine would misfire (steady beat). I don't think that spark plugs are causing the problem.































I think that you might have a leak in a vacuum hose (most likely cause of the problem, especially since replacement of the valve cover could have pulled off a vacuum hose or broken one). You might, instead, have a broken vacuum device (like a choke pull off that broke its diaphragm).































There are many other causes for weak acceleration. The timing might be wrong. The carburetor might be misadjusted. Etc.
