I have a '02 Camry with just a little over 52k mi on it. When I go to start it up the engine won't turn on. I don't think it's the battery b/c the radio and lights(indoor and outdoor) still come on when the key is in the ignition.....does anyone have any suggestions or advice?
You may have a battery connection issue. It could be a burnt wire or a bad battery. If it isn't any of the two, twist the negative terminal connector (the wire which connects the car to the battery) and then try again.
Sounds like worn starter contacts. Toyota starters have replacable contacts in the starter solenoid. When they get worn down they will not make contact. Normally makes a clicking sound but not always. Also check the shifter is properly in park or neutral. Sometimes the safety switch acts up on older Toyota's. Both issues are very cheap to fix.
