I have a 1995 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 v6 automatic. It is trying to run hot. Just replaced the thermostat and that wasn't it. The top half of the radiator and the top radiator hose gets hot and the bottom half of the radiator and bottom hose stay cold..I had it checked by 2 mechanics and it is not a cracked or blown head. Any suggestions on what might be causing this???
one mechanic said that the thermostat wasn't locked up and the radiator was fine but hydrocarbons were getting into the cooling system and the other said that the thermostat was locked up and replaced it but didn't know what was wrong and thinks we should try to replace the radiator..the whole bottom half and bottom house are completely cold like water can't circulate at all...neither mechanic knew what was wrong with it, even after the $100 a piece we spent to get it tested. They both say it shows no signs of a cracked or blown head..
what did the two mechanics have to say?the top hose and radiator should be hotter than the bottom is the rad full?water pump, fan, fan belts, rad fins clean, leaks, temp sensor?ttora.com is a great site for help
