Default I have a 1992 Toyota pickup 3.0 v6 manual trans where can I find a speedo wire?
My truck used to have an automatic transmission but it was switched to a manual it is correct for the year but the wire for the speedometer is missing. This was all done before I bought it and I have been looking but I cannot find the wiring to hook my speedometer back up.

For a 92 you will only have two choices, the local junkyards or heaven forbid, the dealer. Try the junkyards first because the dealer will charge an outrages amount knowing you can't get it elsewhere.

(wire=cable)































any good Speedometer repair shop can make you this cable.































I can make you this cable for less than $20 on the spot in about ten minutes.































you could also go to the junkyard or the dealership. some Part houses may be able to get you this cable also.































If you do not need the Cable then you are in need of the Electrical Speed Sensor that drives the Spedometer. I would keep checking the junkyard as they are sort of expensive from the dealership.

Hey, thanks for the input I was afraid of that being basically a dealer part. I have looked at a few junk yards but they are getting kinda difficult to find in this area. Oh well. From 1991 to 1992, they were electronically driven speedos so the custom length cables wouldn't work but I do appreciate the suggestion. I'll keep parousing the junkyards for a while.
