locate fuel filter on 85 toyota celica?

Default locate fuel filter on 85 toyota celica?
My car has suddenly puttered to a stop. It has a half tank of gas in it. it starts for a brief second and putters right down. I am hoping its the fuel filter... but I CANT FIND IT! Please help me. Instructions on how to find and replace or even a link to a diagram would be fantastic! thanks in advance

It sounds like its the fuel pump. On some toyotas that pump is on top of the fuel tank. Not a cheap fix. Check at a auto parts store they can tell you where the fuel filter is and pump. Hopefully you can reach them.

The are usually in the fuel line near the fuel tank, just follow the line from the fuel rail to the tank.
