Disconnect the positive terminal from the battery. Leave it off for about 30 sec's. Put it back on. That usually will reset the car's computer and erase the messages. Be aware that if you do actually have a problem it will come back on.

Just unhook the battery for a few minutes and it will reset.

Borrow a code reader from any major auto-parts chain, usually they'll let you borrow one for free. Find out WHY you have a check engine light, then reset with the code reader. Driving with a light on can cause damage to your engine. Until you know WHY you have a check engine light, you don't want it to go away.















Isn't a 2007 Yaris still under factory warranty? The Yaris has a 5 year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty. Take it to the dealership and make them fix it for free.

You have to go to your dealer, because its mean that there is something wrong with the engine.















( electrical mall function, etc.)















If the problem was fixed, than the mechanic will reset the ECU to turn off the warning light .

Set the odometer to trip A. Turn off the key. Hold in the odometer button and while still holding the odometer button turn the key to ACC. you'll see the odometer flash down and go back to trip A.
