Default Headlight out on Prius?
A headlight on my 2007 Toyota Prius was replaced approximately 9 months ago when it began to go on initially, fade and go out within a half an hour drive. The new bulb is starting to have the same problem. Could this be an electrical fault or do the bulbs wear out quickly on these cars? The other headlight still has the original bulb and there hasn?t been any issue with it.

If I am not mistaken, these cars have HID's- the ballast is going.

It could be the ballast, but it could also be that you got a bad bulb or even an incorrect one. The bulbs vary by year although not every year. These bulbs don't have a filament so it's the arc that creates the light. It's worth complaining about (assuming you got it from the dealer).

I replaced the OE bulbs at 75,000 miles and they are still fine at 115,000. Note: I drive with the lights on all the time.
