come on man, I cant believe you even asked the question?? please, take it to the shop, and get the required maintenance done, they will reset the light, at that time ok? thanks.
The Maintenance Required light on later toyotas is simply a counter. It will flash at startup after 4500 miles and then stay on solid after 5000 miles. This is just a reminder to do the scheduled maintenance.
to reset the counter and turn the light off, do the following.
turn key to 'ON' (do not start)
press the odometer button until the odometer is displayed... NOT the trip counters
turn key to 'OFF'
hold down the button and turn the key to ON (do not start)
you will see the odometer flashing '------' and then '000000'
First I would suggest getting it checked out by a reputable mechanic and it also could be that if you do not get your oil changed as required that could be a problem and also if you do not get your oil changed at the dealership which I do not, then whomever changes your oil has to remember to reset the oil change button that keeps that light from coming on as a lot of times that is most likely telling you that you need your oil and filter changed.
