2010 corolla brake problems?

Default 2010 corolla brake problems?
I don't know if it's just how the brakes are, but does anyone else think these brakes suck? I have to stop farther than usual compared to other vehicles. It feels unsafe most of the time and it's almost like the stopping force sucks. Also, I barely have 8k miles on the car and my brakes screech already! Is it possible to change it to the braking system the Honda Civic has?

It magically has the same braking system as the Honda Civic!































They all have hydraulic systems that clamp a rotor. You are just getting used to it now so it seems like it's taking longer. You would have the same problem in a different car because you get complacent.

The record for the 2010 Toyota corolla is deplorable unfortunately. The bad brakes, and over accelerations, speed control failures reported are shocking as seen on the link below. There is no fix. My '07 rav 4 had some bad @$$ brakes when I bought it, my '06 Camry had these slushy feeling brakes that I hated yet they lasted 100k. I still have the stock rotor on mine because it looks fine. Simply remove wheel, then caliper, then remove the mount and replace rotor. Then replace the pads. The put together, repeat on all 4 brake rotors and bleed brakes - your problem should be solved. Use good stuff (I always use akebono for pads and raybestos for rotors).

I've read a review that Toyota has made a recall for this brake pedal and acceleration problems. In my case I just replaced the brake with this wagner brake to make things safe.
