Do you have a socket set?















I do hope you still have the jack that came with the vehicle. Use it to jack up the vehicle and replace the starter yourself.

They should only charge you 1.0 labor at the most. Cost may vary

About $100.00 to $150.00 for labor.

All three of these answers are right since many mechanics (including the dealers), charge $100 an hour. If you had a jack and a socket/rachet, you can do the job in about half an hour without any experience. Literally disconnect the wires from the starter (easy); unbolt the starter; Put the new one on; bolt that one up; And connect wires. Done deal. If this is a 4 cylinder Camry, the starter should be on the top of the engine- meaning you shouldn't need a jack.
