This is actually a fairly good question. Toyota like other companies have their fair share of problems, but toyota's are pretty solid cars. BTW people that are suing toyota because "You couldn't stop your car" (BS) why didn't you .... oh hit the BREAKS. If that didn't work, why didn't you put the car in neutral or pull the emergency break?































To answer your question, because people act on emotion and not logically.

Partly because Toyota has sold a lot of cars, so if there is a problem, there are a lot of cars involved. Partly because Toyota has had a near perfect reliability record, so any blemish stands out. Partly because people want an excuse to shout "Buy American". Partly jealousy, like some people would key a new car because they do not want to see anyone else have something nice.

Could it be that Toyota hides defects until someone forces them to do a recall? Toyota would never do that.































Truck frames rusting through....oil sludge....gas pedal sticking? Yup they covered them all up for years. I guess they would.
