Default Im having a oil leak problem on my 1994 Toyota 4Runner. Help?
I have a 1994 Toyota 4runner with over 212,000 miles on it. A few weeks ago I put in new oil. (5 quarts) Yesterday I noticed oil covering my suspension (front driver side), below the alternator and a bit to the left (as if looking from drivers seat) on the arm and frame mostly .Im not sure where its coming from. The whole area is wet in oil. I checked the dip stick and it was very low. I only put on a few hundred miles since my last change and there were no problems until a few days ago. This is a new problem and hasn't happened before. Any ideas and how to fix it?















I forgot to say this before . There is no oil leaking around the oil filter or drain plug.

That is right by the oil filter, make sure it is tight and there is no extra gasket from the old filter sticking there.

could be that the oil filter isn't the right one, or isn't tight enough, could be that you need a new gasket on your oil pan, and also could be that the oil pan drain bold isn't tight enough

either overfilled or didnt tighten the filter on tight or drain plug

Possibly a gasket, since the oil filter and drain plug is dry there could be a gasket leaking. With that mileage, try Valvoline High-Mileage. From my personal experience, Valvoline stopped my oil leak and I suggest Valvoline over OEM Toyota Oil (Which is usually Chevron Conventional Ha-Ha.)
