The best why to handle that is...go into the dealership and MAKE AN OFFER. Don't ask for best price. There is only about $1800.00 mark up in a Corolla. The dealership has to make a little bit of money on the car of course, but, you should still get a little bit off the sticker. I would recommend sitting down with a salesperson and telling him you are SERIOUS about buying a XRS and that you want a deal....pull out your credit card (for the deposit) and say....show me the dealer cost of this car! after the salesguy/girl shows you the cost (and if they refuse to show you...stand up and start leaving) I guarantee they will change they're tune fast!! after you see the amount...offer to buy the car at $500 over cost price. You'd be surprised how many cars I have sold when I do that for people, and my customers are happy too for getting a deal. This is also a great time of year to get a deal (end of the month) we all have monthly targets to hit...and that dealership is no different. Good Luck, and I promise, this will work!
