I'd take out the driveshafts.

put it in neutral with the transfer case also in neutral.

Put the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in either Drive or Reverse and rev the engine. If the engine revs without the car moving then it can be towed with the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in Park. That's the way I tow my 4WD Jeep Liberty. That's the procedure it gives in the Liberty's owner's Manual.
