Is getting LED tail lights for my 2000 Toyota 4Runner a good investment?

I have a 2000 toyota 4runner and im thinking about getting LED tail lights for it im just wondering if it will be worth it when i sell it eventually or does it hurt its resale value?

Poor investment, but if you like them and can afford it, go for it.

Most people prefer their used cars stock, led tail lights though, no one will notice or care. If you like them get them.

Don't waste money on it, keep it original. It is not really interested by the next owner, if you sell it off after few years. For buyer, such upgrading may be interpreted as a serious rear accident car resulted in replacing the rear lamp assemblies.

I'm a traditionalist, and I like to keep my vehicles, especially the lights,

original stock. I think it would distract from the original design integrity

of the 4runner.

Look at the vehicles from 15 to 20 years ago that had contemporary mods and tell me if you think they look any better.

Like the pickup trucks with the 'logo' tail light covers, the econoboxes with the bright graphics decals on the sides, the peeling tinted windows on an suv or minivan, or the crappy aftermarket stereo in any vehicle.

If you want to increase resale value (or more accurately, reduce depreciation), save your money and spend it on car washes, wax, interior shampoo, and tire shine. Keep your vehicle well maintained and keep all your maintenance receipts and any original documentation.

I think you should invest in a car that your not planning on selling in a few years... buying a car is the worst investment you can make but unfortunately, you need one to get around (in Los Angeles at least). So to answer your question, yes, a very bad investment if your planning on selling it later. Would you buy a house then renovate it to later sell it and lose money?
