I think you may be missing the subtle satire of the commercial.
The ad agency perhaps didn't achieve the desired balance, but you
can't take the kid's comments at face value.
A good example of a bad commercial Is VW, having one person physically hit
another person when they spot a VW passing by.
Another is Allstates "chaos" dude who exhibits criminal acts of destruction as humor.
Children see the destruction, but the humor is over their heads
I mention these only in contrast to Toyota's Kid's behavior.
