I have a 55 toyota yaris 1.0l petrol, it ran out of fuel or so it seemed. After putting in fuel it still wont start, it's offering too but wont fire. Any suggestions?
well its prolly fuel inject ted and when you keep the car running after gas has been out all the gunk from the bottom of the tank gets sucked up into the injectors and maybe thats why because you need to clean out this system this is not for sure so get a better answer
if you're absolutely sure that it ran out of fuel then you should have a new fuel filter fitted because there is a chance that the sedment from the bottom of the fuel tank has clogged up the fuel filter.
when you turn on the ignition, or crank the starter can you hear the fuel pump under the back seat working? if not check the fuses or u may have a pump problem.
